Agî age regiments relative to earth epochs

The past and future of the Agî, and the world at large has been represented in another assembly of metaphors commonly known as the rii-ka. Rii-ka refers to the age-set sets of history as it translates from Sanskrit as the ‘flow of splendour’ or the ‘splendour of flow’ inferring the systematic passing over of the essentials of life from one generation to the next. The age-sets among the Agî have been misrepresented by the European scholars to date merely a few centuries back, whence the same, who can not envisage an African culture having thrived on the continent beyond a few centuries back, presume to date the presence of the Agîkûyû in Kenya to merely a few centuries. They are however unable to agree from whence the Agîkûyû should have migrated from, as the linguistics proffer mixed to null indications. The age sets of the Agîkûyû, being fourteen in number, are the time epochs the planet earth has undergone since a really long time in its past, to the present and encapsulates the future too. The scientist may not truly appreciate the science of predicting future occurrences, but in the law of cause and effect, the ancients were well versed with the ability to describe the reactions the actions of each epoch of human existence would propitiate. It is from prudence of observation of trends. Moreover, an inquest into the hidden truths of the universe indicates that humanity is not the lone sentient being some people suppose of us to be, but a member species of a vibrant and complete society of intellectual creation. What economics today would term forecasting based on established and known trends is what the ancients called prophecy. Development in society can be mapped into distinct stages based on the diverse stimuli and activities introduced.

The most conclusive list of the age-sets are as of Gakaara Wanjau’s list is as follows;

          3. Kariraû
          4. Aagu
          5. Tiru
          6. Cuma
          7. Ciira
          8. Ndemi
          9. Mathathi
          10. Iregi
          11. Maina
          12. Mwangi
          13. Irûngû
          14. Mwangi wa Mandûti

Other subsets were named within each of the major age set groups. European ethnographers who encountered the Agîkûyû elders and wisdom keepers of the ancient orders coerced irrelevancies in transcribing the cultures of Africa. The ancients remained adamant in not revealing their wisdom to the white strangers that could not be trusted. Most of the histories recorded of Africa through the agency of the white man should therefore be regarded with reservations. The listing of the Agîkûyû age-sets for instance bears a variant of number from nine to the fourteen enumerated as above. Further, since the Europeans and their cliché of researchers never discovered the language tool by which to decipher the ancient languages, they would not fathom the preciousness of the words they heard and penned down, adding their presumptions of brief time epochs to each of these generations. Now with the appropriate language tool, the fourteen age epochs of the world can be transcribed as follows:

The Cii-ra  age set is the midpoint of the fourteen, and in the broader perspective of the universal cataclysm, was the point at which, the results of the initial cosmic falling away was realized. In this age-set system, the previous occurrences were of a cosmic nature. It narrates the ancient past of the Cosmos, which in the Bible is described as the transgression in the heavens, how they parted ways, the inception of error and the accumulation of its ways, and eventually the results and outcome of the spread of erroneous ways.

Commonly among the Agîkûyû people, it is reiterated that the land in which they inhabit to the present was given to them from the following eons of ndemi na mathathi. Ostensibly in the previous generations the land had belonged to other races of men, the ante-diluvian and possibly races of creation that inhabited the planet earth before man was placed upon it.

The number fourteen features in Judaism as a complete cycle of progress. The first instance it is encountered is in the narration of creation, which is said to have taken seven evenings and seven mornings, which compose the seven days. Rather the six days of creation and the seventh of rest. Thereafter, the pharaoh of Egypt in the days of Joseph had had a dream in which there had been seven healthy cows and thereafter seven lean ones which consumed the first seven. The similar occurred of fourteen sheaves of wheat. The interpretation had been that there was to be seven years of plenty and bountiful harvest that were to be followed by another seven of lean harvest, draught and feminine. Seven plentiful years followed and Egypt stocked their increase while other lands did not. When the lean years followed, it was only in Egypt where there was plenty and surrounding nations traded all their means to Egypt for grain and sustenance. The children of Jacob likewise commenced their famous Egyptian bondage in this wise, when they had to migrate to Egypt for their survival and due to Joseph’s position in the land of Egypt. The anecdote compares suitably with the generations of the Agîkûyû architecture which have the first seven generations of humanity being mainly of a bountiful earth. The latter ones are deficient of resources and knowledge, the ancient and true kind. These latter generations would do well to consider the amassed wealth of information wealth that was stockpiled in the previous seven generations. The third instance is in the life of Jacob who is of the fame of Israel and how he had to labour for a total of fourteen years, two sets of seven, before he would attain the to freedom and the desire of his heart.

In Jainism, fourteen is the count of the stages of true enlightenment that all sentient beings are dynamically predisposed to. The perfection of enlightenment is attained after the fourteenth and final stage. They are known as the fourteen Gunas-thanas, the stages which the soul progresses from im-purifying matter on to final liberation. The sound ‘Gu’ (go) is Sanskrit epistemologies the sacred, which converges to the forbidden or unlawful. A demon therefore is as much a ‘gu’ as is a taboo, or the results of breaking a law, where most laws of the earlier ages happened to be sacred. The Gu-nas therefore refers to the ‘wholly forbidden’ or ‘entirely sacred’. Dha-nas means the ‘pure and only benefaction, possession, attribute’. Gunas-dhanas therefore refers to the only and pure possessions/wealth/outcome of abiding to the sacred. It is the outcome and path of following, or not, the sacred law. In life, there are both positive and negative influences within and without the soul which influence and determine the ups and downs stages of the spiritual life. These fourteen stages of spiritual development based on the dynamism of existence are explained from the lowest to the highest as follows:

The connection of the Jain Gunasdhanas to the age-sets of the Agîkûyû is not only in their number but likewise in description. They in fact supplement each other in detail if one was to take the trouble to evaluate and compare them. When the world at large is considered as the subject soul undergoing the diverse stages of enlightenment, the stages it has experienced as a singular entity are as in the Agîkûyû fourteen stages of consciousness. The souls on earth however individually and generally lag behind and are not in sync to the planetary consciousness motions, which has been the result of the disconnect humanity has with the natural world. This disconnection is what is described in the Agîkûyû stages. The last stage in particular, where the conscious mind finds its goal, on the one part, as the planet finds liberation and breaks all ties with the physically bound, then the physically bound souls, being not in consonance with the planet, obtain their dues of the perfect retribution for their imperfect predispositions. The duration of the fourteenth stage is said to last five short moments, and it is the only timed stage of the fourteen. In comparison, the planetary consciousness having entered the last stage in Agîkûyû accounting, the ‘mwangi manduti’ (recompense, outcome) in last quarter of 2012, whatever the five short paces of time signify, before the general outcome of planetary spiritual disposition is achieved is to say the least, an exciting disposition.  

Catholic theology in particular has note of the fourteen stages of the cross, which however I could not find any particular comparison except for the count, to the stages of enlightenment of the ancient doctrines. It is most probable that those cognisant of these ancient fourteen stages made attempt to classify the crucifixion into the fourteen stages of the cross.
